The Merrie Monarch Makeke 2026 is coming to Waiākea Center in Hilo, Hawaiʻi, April 8–12, 2026. This five-day marketplace celebrates the spirit of Merrie Monarch week by bringing together local artisans, small businesses, food vendors, and cultural makers from across Hawaiʻi.
Located just minutes from downtown Hilo and the Edith Kanakaʻole Stadium, the Waiākea Center becomes a hub for thousands of residents and visitors attending Merrie Monarch festivities. The Makeke offers vendors an opportunity to showcase products to a highly engaged audience seeking authentic Hawaiʻi goods, handcrafted items, apparel, jewelry, art, cultural products, and ono food.
The event runs daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing consistent foot traffic throughout the week as Merrie Monarch participants, hula enthusiasts, and tourists explore Hilo.
Vendor space is limited, and applications will be reviewed to ensure a balanced marketplace experience.
